When Desperate College Students and Writers Hold Hands for Mutual Benefit: To Obtain a Degree and Earn a Living

While not illegal like drug dealing nor holy like preaching, doing another person’s homework for money falls into a gray area. And it’s how some writers make ends meet to survive; the uncomfortable truth is that those who choose this profession are college graduates equipped with a degree yet possess menial work/life experience, a whole lotta debt, and four-plus years of pleasing teachers, writing papers and participating in discussion boards nobody cares about. So, they continue doing those things; however, this time they get paid for it.

Definition of Terms

You may know what an Academic Ghostwriter is, or you may not. While you won’t find a job description on Indeed or Monster, I can break it down for you.

An academic ghostwriter is someone who does coursework for another student (usually college) and submits it to the paying student to turn in.

The student’s standards aren’t too high; they need someone to complete their coursework that they are either too busy to do, don’t want to do, or have difficulty doing.
